GFWC clubs and clubwomen are the fabric that binds not only the Federation, but the communities in which they live and work. By Living the Volunteer Spirit, GFWC clubwomen transform lives each day, not simply with monetary donations, but with hands-on tangible projects that provide immediate impact. With a grassroots approach that often thinks locally but impacts globally, GFWC, its clubs and members remain committed to serving as a force for global good, as it has done since its formation 132 years ago.

From Behind the President’s Desk
Dear fellow members,
It is with great enthusiasm that I write to you from my first week in Washington, DC, filled with excitement and a sense of deep honor as I assume the role of the 55th GFWC International President.
Service and personal development have been central to our mission for 134 years. Through these, lies the concept of the “circle of influence” – a dynamic sphere within which our actions radiate outward, touching lives and effecting change. Within this circle, as symbolized on our emblem, we find our power to transform, uplift, and inspire. As members of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, each of us occupies a unique position within this circle, endowed with the capacity to enact meaningful change and to leave an indelible mark upon the world.
As we embark on this new chapter, hold fast to the values that define GFWC—camaraderie, collaboration, and a commitment to transforming lives through volunteerism. Our potential for progress is limitless when we unite and advocate clearly with one voice. Let's be bold as we reimagine all that GFWC can become.
Educate, Engage, Empower: Living the Volunteer Spirit,
Suellen B. Brazil
